Continuing the development of the VALPRO Inspection Depertment, the relocation of the high-pressure cylinder fleet and inspection equipment to Valmiermuiža began at the end of 2024 and completed in April 2025, where reassessment and inspection of LPG cylinders and aluminium 0.6L CO2 cylinders have been provided since 2022 in the new production facilities.
By bringing together all the resources of the Inspection Department in one place, work organisation, logistics and service efficiency are being improved, which is a logical continuation of the company's development. During the move, several pieces of equipment were refurbished, and a new cylinder scraper was purchased. All cylinder stocks have been moved from the VALPRO site and the off-site cylinder depot to a well-equipped and spacious cylinder depot in Valmiermuiža. This infrastructure development gives an additional impetus to the growth of the Valmiermuiža industrial area, where several dozen companies are already operating. VALPRO actively participates in the development of this area, contributing to the development of an attractive and orderly business environment.
Owing to the support of management, inspectors, service staff of the inspection body and other company departments, the high-pressure cylinder inspection team is now operational at its new location. The first big test of the move – the surveillance audit by the State Agency "Latvian National Accreditation Bureau" (LATAK) on 17 April 2025 – has been successfully passed, and VALPRO Inspection Department has been granted the status of a Type A inspection body.
Despite the progress, the challenges continue. The VALPRO specialists involved in this project need to achieve the planned productivity and stability of the equipment to be able to meet the delayed commitments and needs of existing and new customers. Improving the working environment is also an additional concern.
SIA “VALPRO Inspekcijas dienests” is a European certified body, with its main customers being from the Baltic and Scandinavian countries. VALPRO has been inspecting gas cylinders since 2006. Over time, the service has evolved and expanded its scope, with periodic inspections of aluminium 0.6L CO2 cylinders for carbonated beverages started in 2020 and LPG cylinders in 2022. The Inspection Department covers three inspection service lines and provides full-cycle services – visual inspection and testing, surface treatment, reassessment of conformity, issuing of certificates and labelling of cylinders.
