As Liesma has reported several times, metalworking is currently developing very rapidly in Valmiera, creating a high demand for welding specialists — in fact, there is a real shortage of such professionals.

 

Therefore, it is encouraging news that on February 14, the professional continuing education program Arc Welder in Welding with Mechanized Equipment in an Inert Gas Environment (MIG/131), implemented by the Adult Education Resource Center, concluded at Valmiera Technical School with convincing results. All eight trainees successfully passed the qualification exam and obtained professional certification.
