From 16th until 20th September a group of VALPRO representatives visited industrial production and metal processing exhibitions in Hannover and Essen in Germany.
Within the project of the business trip seven metal working industry representatives of Latvia visited Germany: chairman of VALPRO Ltd Aivars Flemings, general technologist Jevgenijs Selickis, special equipment and machinery constructor Einārs Leitis, also chairman of Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia Vilnis Rantiņš and representatives of Rīgas finieris Ltd and Būvmetāls Ltd.
During a visit participants visited EMO Hannover exhibition with this year emphasis on intelligence in production. Before visiting next exhibition Latvian metal processers visited Bergmann factory that produces iron shells for car engine blocks and also visited metallic reservoir factory in Ahlen.
Final part of business trip participants spent in welding exhibition SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2013. In this exhibition VALPRO team paid special attention to rolling and longitudinal welding equipment, material and storage supplying systems, as well as other important solutions and machinery.
„Exhibitions allowed finding out issues that is not only about our daily metal processing solutions, but also more sophisticated technologies. Only question is about the best choice. In today’s world equipment is in such a level that it makes possible to create anything. During the visit we mostly paid attention to the instruments, systems and equipment that could be useful for VALPRO industrial processes today or in the nearest future. Everything we saw made stronger my belief- if we develop machine building in Latvia, it will activate other things as well and then everyone wins. In Latvia there is only 27 000 people working in metal processing field by now,” says special equipment and machinery constructor Einārs Leitis.
Within the project representatives of VALPRO also visited two clients of company to discuss actual technical issues and draw further solutions.
VALPRO Ltd implemented this visit within the project „Cluster in metal processing” (Project Nr. KAP/188.8.131.52.0/12/01/007) organized by Association of Mechanical engineering and metal processing industry.
Target of this project is to implement common activities to increase export, working effectiveness and productivity and to create new competitive products by cooperating with other companies, educational and research institutions.
